Park Lane Care Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide care and accommodation for up to thirty male/female older people who may be suffering with Dementia.

All thirty single bedrooms have full en-suite facilities and are decorated to a high standard with a personal call bell and TV point. Each room is appropriately furnished, although Residents are encouraged to add their own personal touches should they wish to do so.

Additional facilities of the home include one assisted bathroom and two assisted toilets.

Long or short stays for respite care are welcome as are individuals who receive assistance with funding from their Local Authority.

The catering staff aim to provide freshly prepared, high quality nutritious meals. The varied menus are designed to cater to a wide range of special dietary needs and the individual preferences of the Residents.

Safety

The home is equipped with fire alarms and nurse call systems which are both serviced quarterly. All staff receive regular fire training and the ramps on both sides of the home make it fully accessible for wheel chair users.

General Practitioner

Residents are encouraged to keep their own GP. If not they can be registered with our own group local GPs.

Laundry

The home operates its own “in-house” laundry and is happy to provide this service to all Residents. All items of clothing must be marked clearly with the Resident’s name. Unfortunately, the home cannot accept any responsibility for specialist cleaning.

Personal Services

Physiotherapists, dentists, opticians and chiropodists visit the home regularly. The home endeavours to meet any additional need indicated by the Resident’s assessment.

The hairdresser visits the home weekly. The cost of this service is not included in the fees and will be invoiced separately.

Extra services such as, daily newspapers and magazines can be easily arranged and will be paid for by the Resident.
